Kharvicurry, healthy ingredients for boosting your immune system
with Coconut, Red chillies, Turmeric, Coriander seeds, Pepper, Garlic,
small amount of Fenugreek(methi), Mustard, Cumin Seeds, Ajwain seed,
Ginger, Onion,Green chilli and Tamarind.
INGREDIENTS
For curry
• 500 gm Fish
• 4 tbsp Coconut Oil
• 1 medium onion finely chopped
• 4 Green Chillies slit
• 1- inch Ginger grated
• 3-3 ½ cup Water
• 2 tsp Salt
• 1-2 Sprig Of Curry Leaves
For paste
• 1 cup coconut
• 2 tsp Red chilli powder
• 2 tsp Coriander Powder
• 1 tsp Turmeric
• ½ tsp Cumin seeds
• ¼ tsp Fenugreek Seeds
• ¼ tsp carom seeds
• ½ tsp black peppercorns
• 6 garlic cloves
• ½ Onion roughly sliced
• Tamarind small ball
• Salt as needed
INSTRUCTIONS
In a heavy-bottom pan, heat some coconut oil and add ginger, green chillies and onion. Sauté until the raw scent disappears. Add salt and cook .
Blend all the paste ingredients with little water to make a fine paste. Add this paste into the cooked tomatoes and sauté for about 5 minutes. Let the rawness of masala disappear, then add half a cup of water and cook until the oil separates and is visible on top.
Add 3 more cups of water and salt, bring it to boil on medium flame and then add the fish. Cover and cook for another 10 minutes. After a boil, open the lid and let the curry simmer. In another pan, heat oil and splutter curry leaves and chopped onion, fry until brown and pour the tempering over the curry.
Serve hot with rice
